WHAT IS THE PROJECT SAHA ?
The SAHA Project (Health with Humanity for All) is the main initiative of the AMLB – Lebanese-Brazilian Medical Association. Created with the aim of offering free and humane medical and dental care to immigrants in vulnerable situations in Brazil, the project brings together volunteer professionals from various specialties to work in periodic actions, with quality, dignity and respect.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The SAHA Project 's actions are carried out in strategic locations in the city of São Paulo and the metropolitan region, with the support of partner organizations, community associations and spaces provided for service.
Each action involves an organized structure with:
Medical and dental consultations
Health screening and guidance
Referral for additional tests
Donation of hygiene kits and medicines
Monitoring in cases of risk
The service is provided by doctors, dentists, nurses and health technicians with active registration, all working on a 100% voluntary basis.
WHO CAN BE SERVED?
The project is primarily aimed at:
Immigrants and refugees in vulnerable situations
There is no cost to beneficiaries and service is provided on a first-come, first-served basis or by prior registration, depending on the event.
